NPHS student reaches pinnacle in Scouting

HELPS LOCAL MUSEUM- Richard Barnett, left, is joined by Bill Miller, Scouting Committee chairman of the Thousand Oaks Elks Lodge No. 2477, center, and Bill Sternberg, the Grand Lodge Regional Scouting Committee chairman, as Barnett becomes an Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Boy Scouts. Barnett, a Newbury Park High School student, organized and led an effort to replace wooden steps and a handrail at Stagecoach Inn Museum as his project.
