Church 'celebrates life' with guest lecturer
      The Westlake Church of Religious Science will host Barton Goldsmith, PhD, as the guest speaker at the 10 a.m. "Celebration of Life" service Sun., Feb. 18. His topic will be "Overcoming Adversity." Goldsmith will also present an afternoon workshop from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on the subject of "Emotional Fitness: Relationships That Work!

Suicide bombing survivor speaks at academy
      Tzippy Cohen will give a lecture, "We the Living- A Survivor of a Suicide Bombing Speaks" at 8 p.m. Mon., Feb. 26 at the Conejo Jewish Academy, 30345 Canwood St., Agoura Hills. Cohen and two of her friends were having a late dinner at Café Hillel in Jerusalem on Sept. 9, 2003.

Musical mini-plays presented by area youth
      More than 200 youth from throughout Conejo Valley will present six musical mini-plays based on parodies of classic children's books at 6 and 8:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 35 S. Wendy Drive in Newbury Park.
