Birth control deserves to be a national priority The abortion dilemma comes down to a basic question: To abort or not to abort? Here are some facts: 1. Only man's sperm can impregnate a woman. 2. As of now the only way to prevent unwanted pregnancies is by pill, contraceptives or abstinence. 3. Conception isn't always by consent or by desire to have a baby. 4. We have gone forth and multiplied ourselves almost out of breathing space, but still have the same powerful sex urges that some cannot control. 5. Barring safe termination of unwanted pregnancies benefits no one. Here are some solutions: 1. We must find a way to prevent unwanted conceptions to begin to bring the nation's and the world population explosion under control. A related question is, "Is China the only country to regulate size of families?" 2. Castrate all men? Short of making sex by married couples a punishable crime, we must find an agreeable way to curb unwanted pregnancies. But it might be best to start curbing mass baby production as a nation.
