T.O. Police Department will present parenting classes

The next Parent Project program offered by the Thousand Oaks Police Department will begin Wed., Jan. 31 at the Conejo Recreation and Park District community room at 403 W. Hillcrest Drive.

The program runs one night a week for 10 weeks. The first six classes will be from 7 to 10 p.m.; the last four will end at 9 p.m.

The program is designed to teach parents strategies for dealing with their children's behavior problems, failing grades, school attendance, drug and alcohol abuse, running away or gang involvement.

The class is free, but the workbook must be purchased.
