Conejo Open Classroom offers tours

Tours of the Conejo Valley Open Classrooms will be offered during the school day Thursdays Feb. 1, 8 and 22 and March 1, 8 and 22, and Tuesdays Feb. 13 and March 13 at Conejo Elementary School, 280 Conejo School Road, Thousand Oaks.

Founded in 1993, the Open Classrooms Program consists of six teachers and six multiage classrooms. The program promotes parental involvement in the classroom and requires parents to volunteer an average minimum of 1.5 hours per week per child enrolled.

To enroll in Open Classrooms, parents must submit a school choice form by Mon., April 2. Forms are available at the Conejo Valley Unified School District office, 1400 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.
