Need performers for International Day at Meadows

2007-01-18 / Schools

Meadows Elementary School is having its second annual International Day on Thurs., Feb. 8.

It's a multicultural celebration featuring daytime and evening performances.

Classrooms will "host" various countries from around the globe and explore their music, food, dance and crafts to educate children about the richness of cultural diversity.

Unpaid multicultural performers are needed to sing, dance or demonstrate instruments from other countries.

This year there's particular interest in Polynesian dancers because the South Pacific islands will be featured.

Potential performers can contact Erin Boskovich, event coordinator, at (805) 494-9855 for information.
