Conejo Valley Botanic Garden offers events

The Conejo Valley Botanic Garden presents the following events. The garden is at 350 W. Gainsborough Road, between Lynn and Moorpark roads, in Thousand Oaks.

The Kid's Adventure Garden is open every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The garden features a tree house and a dinosaur garden. Entrance and activities are free, and docents are available to teach children about nature and gardening. For information, call (818) 889-0560.

There will be a sale of native and water-wise plants from 10 a.m. to noon Sat., Feb. 3.

The following day, Feb. 4, at 2 p.m. Ed Hager will lead a walk through the orchard and answer questions during a fruit garden walk. Wear sturdy shoes and bring bottled water. For information on either of these events, call (805) 4947630.

A class on floral design in the Sogetsu style is held at 9:30 a.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month. Each class costs $15, plus $10 for flowers, or $50 per month. For information, call Camille at (805) 498-7421.
