SHINE ON- Eric Shapiro of Newbury Park visits the Kilauea Lighthouse on Kauai, Hawaii. The structure is at the northernmost point of the Hawaiian islands. Built in 1913, the facility had the largest lens of its kind and guided ships heading to and from the Orient. Now a beacon light is used. They're standing in front of Scotty's Castle, a $2 million retreat  built  by  businessman  Albert  Johnson  in 1927 and named in tribute to  his  friend,  colorful "miner" and conman Walter E.
