Instructors invited to attend Holocaust education workshop
      The 24th annual teacher training workshop "The Relevance of Teaching the Holocaust in the 21st Century" will be offered for educators and residents on four consecutive Thursdays from 4:15 to 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 1, 8, 15 and 22 with an optional fifth session on March 1.

CLU to pay tribute to Martin Luther King Jr.
      California Lutheran University will pay tribute to civil rights leader and activist Martin Luther King Jr. during a special service at 10 a.m. Wed., Jan. 17 in Samuelson Chapel on the main campus in Thousand Oaks. King began his career in 1954 as pastor for Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Ala. Within a year, he led nonviolent demonstrations against segregation and racism.
