Thousand Oaks

A Ventura County Sheriff’s Department deputy and a California Highway Patrol officer worked together on an incident that occurred at 6:51 p.m. Dec. 30. A deputy observed what appeared to be a road rage incident at Erbes Road and the 23 Freeway. One of the motorists drove away and a pursuit ensued for about one and one-half miles. The female driver bailed from the car while it was still in gear and moving, and she fled on foot. A CHP officer was able to stop the car, while the deputy arrested a 29-year-old Simi Valley woman. She was taken into custody on charges of evading arrest, DUI, driving on a suspended license and for violating parole.
