Girls softball registration open

Thousand Oaks Girls Softball Association is now accepting registrations for the 2007 softball season. Inperson registrations and evaluations will be Sat. and Sun., Jan. 6 and 7 at Los Cerritos Middle School softball fields, 2100 Avenida de Las Flores, Thousand Oaks.

The league is for girls ages 5 to 14, and players are grouped by age level. More than 400 families in the Thousand Oaks/Conejo Valley area participate in the association.

The association is dedicated to the development of good sportsmanship achieved through healthful and positive recreation for girls. Building character and molding personality transcends acquisition of athletic skills or

winning games. The pri

cern is to provide outstanding recreation and leadership for players.

The cost per player for the season, which runs through May, is $100 T-Ball (ages 5 to 6), $130 U8 (ages 7 to 8),

$140 U10

(ages 9 to 10), $140 U12 (ages 11 to 12), and $140 U14 (ages 13 to 14).

All players receive a full uniform with visor, photo package and yearbook.

Team practices begin Jan. 29 and opening day is Sat., March 3.
