La Reina helps families

La Reina High School in T.O. adopted 32 families this Christmas through the adopt-a-family program of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.

Students and staff provided clothing, toys, books, furniture, housewares, appliances and other goods for about 160 people who live in downtown Los Angeles.

This year, the cathedral’s program adopted 300 families from skid row, as well as families displaced here following Hurricane Katrina. Two truckloads of gifts were sent to the cathedral earlier this month.
