Home buyers offered free credit workshop

Zane Widdes, real estate consultant for Rodeo Realty, is hosting a free mini Home Buyer and Credit Workshop for first-time and repeat home buyers at 7 p.m. Tues., Jan. 9 at the Rodeo Realty offices, 100 N. Westlake Blvd., Ste. 100A, Westlake Village.

The workshop is a stepbystep guide to home buying and will highlight major points of buying property, such as beginning the home search, avoiding buying a “money pit,” getting the best price on a home, establishing and cleaning up mistakes on credit reports, learning about the tax benefits of home ownership, buying versus renting, and foreclosures.

All attendees will receive a complementary “Home Buyer’s Guide” and will have the opportunity to ask questions following the presentation.

Scheduled speakers include Widdes; Diana Crudeli, CPA, tax consultant; KJ Johnson, Fortune 500 company, home warrantee consultant; Anne Hilbert, credit and debt consultant; and Ron Karp, loan consultant.

Widdes will host additional workshops on Sun., Jan. 28 at 5 p.m. and Wed., Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. All workshops will be at the Rodeo Realty offices in Westlake Village.
