‘High School Musical’ play auditions in Newbury Park

Stages Performing Arts, Inc. will hold auditions for children ages 7 through 15 for i t s spring performance of Disney’s “High School Musical.” Auditions are scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Tues., Jan. 2 and Wed., Jan. 3 at St. Julie’s Church, 2475 Borchard Road in Newbury Park. Audition times will be assigned by Stages. Preregistration is required.

The show will be double cast. Rehearsals will be Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Jan. 6 to April 7. There will be an additional rehearsal on Friday, Jan. 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., as well as several rehearsals the week of the show.

Show performances are scheduled for Newbury Park High School’s Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. on Thurs., April 12; Fri., April 13; and Sat., April 14 with an additional 2 p.m. Saturday matinee.

Previous theater experience is not necessary. Tuition is required to participate in Stages’ spring show. All participants will have a part.
