The Wellness Community welcomes new board members

Business leaders Harriet Wasserman and Frank Maguire have been selected to join the board of directors for the Wellness Community Valley/Ventura.

Wasserman and Maguire will work with other board members to guide the organization as it provides programs of support, education and hope for people affected by cancer.

Wasserman is a personal manager and has worked in the entertainment business for more than 36 years. A resident of Tarzana, she first learned about the Wellness Community when her daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Wasserman and her daughter are both Wellness Community

participants, attending support groups for family members of people with cancer and those who are facing cancer.

Maguire, who served as an executive at FedEx, American Airlines, KFC and ABC Radio, now uses that experience to advise companies on ways to improve their business and corporate leadership.

The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura is the local chapter of the international, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free support, education and hope to men and women affected by cancer.
