‘Adopt a Senior’ needs donations
Senior Concerns’ Meals on Wheels program, which provides meals for area seniors who cannot shop or cook for themselves, is seeking financial donations from Conejo Valley residents to help support “Adopt a Senior” this holiday season.

Donations help defray the cost of the program. “There is a minimal charge for the meals, but we never turn anyone away because

of an inability to pay,” said Mary Ann Coladonato, director of the program. “On an annual basis, we’re approaching 48,000 meals that are balanced and nutritious.”

According to Coladonato, $30 will pay for two meals a day for three days, while $50 is enough for five days, and $100 will buy 10 days’ worth of meals.

Donations can be made online at www.seniorconcerns.org or by check to Senior Concerns, 401 Hodencamp Road, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360.

Senior Concerns is a private, nonprofit social service agency that provides services for special needs seniors in Ventura and western Los Angeles counties and informational support for family caregivers.
