Friendship Circle celebrates with a 6-foot menorah

A 6-foot menorah
The Conejo Valley Friendship Circle, a program that pairs volunteer teenagers with special needs children, hosted a Hanukkah extravaganza on Sun., Dec. 10 at Chabad of the Conejo, 30345 Canwood St., Agoura Hills.

Children, their families and teenage volunteers constructed a 6foot menorah made from Legos as part of the festivities.

“This is the second year we’ve featured a Lego menorah,” said Rochel Bryski, Friendship Circle program director. “The kids have fun building the menorah as they learn about Hanukkah.”

Through the Friendship Circle, teens develop friendships and share activities with children with Down syndrome, autism, ADD and other emotional or physical challenges. Families of special needs children also receive support in the program.
