Mormons present live Nativity, Christmas concert

A Living Nativity will be staged by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 7 to 7:30 p.m. Fri. and Sat., Dec. 8 and 9 at the Newbury Park Stake Center, 35 S. Wendy Drive, Newbury Park.

The reenactment will be accompanied by recordings from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. A creche display and light refreshments will follow. Bring blankets or lawn chairs. For more information, call Karrie at (805) 498-5738.

The church will present a Christmas Concert of spiritual music and traditional holiday favorites, "Born is the King," at 6 and 8 p.m. Sun., Dec. 10 at the same location.

The conductor will be Frank Turner, director of the Southern California Mormon Choir. Admission is free and the public is welcome.
