Theater wins award for radio show

The Every Now and Then Theatre's December 2005 radio drama adaptation of Charles Dickens' "Christmas Carol-A Ghost Story," has won a 2006 International "Davey" Silver Award for Radio Entertainment.

The show was hosted by actor-producer Charlene Tilton and starred Robert "Doc" Reynolds of Ventura.

Linda Stiegler of Thousand Oaks directed the program, which was broadcast on KVTAAM.

In October, the Ventura County-based theater group's drama received an International Gabriel Award from the Catholic Broadcaster's Association,

and in May it won an International OMNI Intermedia Award for Best Local Radio Broadcast.

The Every Now and Then Theatre, founded in 1990, has won 11 awards, three national and eight international, since first entering competitions in 2003.
