Children's choir to perform at Civic Arts Plaza

"Sounds of Christmas," the annual holiday performance of the Los Robles Children's Choir, will be at 7:30 p.m. Sat., Dec. 2 in the Fred Kavli Theatre for the Performing Arts at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks.

Donna Young, artistic director, will conduct 130 children ranging in age from 8 to 19 years, as they join together to present a holiday concert of nostalgic and traditional music.

Music will include "Carol of the Bells," "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" and "I'll Be Home for Christmas," as well as arrangements of traditional carols sung by three combined choirs. The evening's program will include a guest appearance by members of the Conejo Valley Youth Orchestra, led by Bill Benson, artistic director.

is a not-for-profit organization that features three different choirs, which perform a variety of concerts throughout each season. Repertoire is selected according to each choir's level of skill and encompasses a wide range of musical styles.
