Thousand Oaks High student attends leadership seminar

Dennis Mihalsky, a senior at Thousand Oaks High School, was to have taken part in a leadership development conference this month in Washington, D.C.

During the six-day program, the National Young Leaders Conference gave high school students from around the country an opportunity to interact with various personnel who operate within the three branches

of government, the news media and the international community.

The conference was sponsored by the Congressional Youth Leadership Council, a nonprofit, nonpartisan educational organization.

Since 1985, the council has inspired more than 200,000 young people to achieve their leadership potential.
