Bicyclists, like motorists, should show courtesy

There are few things that get me more upset then the bike riders who think they own all of the lanes on any given street in Thousand Oaks, especially on Westlake Boulevard.

Take this morning, for example. I was going south on Westlake Boulevard and came on two bicycle riders who were riding in tandem, one in the bike lane and the other one smack dab in the middle of the right lane.

I gave a small "toot" on my horn and you would have thought I said something bad about his mother. He started flailing his arms and screaming like a mad man. Please remember that the bike lane is indeed for bike riders and cars are not allowed too drive in it.

Please show the same courtesy to non-bike riders who just happen to be driving on the same street as you. Ken Ramsey Thousand Oaks
