Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park libraries to host events for children

The local libraries offer a variety of children programs for September and October. For information about activities at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Toddlers and their parents are invited to free weekly

storytimes at 10:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the Grant Brimhall/ Thousand Oaks Library from Tues., Sept. 19 through Dec. 12. Each 20-minute program is designed for children 18 to 36 months old and includes stories, songs, puppets and visual tales.

The library will also host weekly storytimes for children ages 3 to 5 at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Thurs., Sept. 21 through Dec. 14. The 30-minute programs include stories, songs,

rhymes, fingerplays and visual tales for children and their parents/caregivers.

The Newbury Park Branch Library will host free storytimes for toddlers and their parents/ caregivers at 10:30 a.m. Thurs., Sept. 21, 28, Oct. 5 and 12.

Storytimes for preschoolers ages 3 to 5 will be 1:30 p.m. Tues., Sept. 19, 26, Oct. 3 and 10. Parents and caregivers may wait in the library during these children's programs.
