Goebel Senior Center needs new commissioner

Goebel Senior Center Commission Inc., a nonprofit community service agency, is seeking a new commissioner. As the result of a vacancy, an individual is needed to fill the remainder of the term through June 2008.

The all-volunteer board of commissioners is composed of 15 seniors age 55 or older who reside within the boundaries of the Conejo Recreation and Park District, especially those who are knowledgeable of the needs and interests of older people and community resources.

Commission meetings are at 1 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month at the Goebel Senior Adult Center.

Applicants should submit name, address, phone number and other pertinent information to the office of the general manager, Conejo Recreation and Park District, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.

Application deadline is 5 p.m. Fri., Nov. 10.
