Young marksmen shine at Westlake golf tournament

Daniel Heald won a onehole playoff against Ryan Riggs to capture the l8-hole Westlake Golf Club championship for boys ages 14-17.

Both golfers were tied at 72 after 18 holes before going to the playoff.

Kate Bowerman shot 45 for nine holes to take the girls' 12-17 title.

In other age categories, winners included Brian Cook, Conner Framer and Patrick Burns who tied at 42 for boys 12-13. Brandon Kelly shot 38 for boys' 10-11. Brandon Jacobs shot 33 to win boys' 89, and Nancy Liu fired a 43 to win girls' 8-11.
