Local soccer team takes European vacation
 | | WHAT A TRIP-APEX Adrenaline, the girls' U-17 team of APEX Soccer Club based in Thousand Oaks, won the Plate Division of the Umbro International Cup in Manchester, England on July 29. Adrenaline lost only once in seven games en route to the final. The Umbro International Cup is Britain's largest soccer tournament, drawing more than 450 teams from 20 nations. As part of the tournament, the team toured Manchester United's Old Trafford Stadium and received a coaching session at the official training facility of Premier League Manchester City. Adrenaline is comprised of girls from the Conejo Valley who attend Newbury Park, Agoura, Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, Oaks Christian, Oak Park and Chaminade high schools.
