Preschool hosts open house

Notre Dame Learning Center, a new preschool and child care for children ages 3 to 5 years, will host an open house and registration from noon to 3 p.m. Sat., Sept. 9 at the center, 1776 Hendrix Ave., Thousand Oaks (adjacent to La Reina High School).

Parents and children are also invited to observe the center's children and teachers in action on any weekday between 9 and 11 a.m. Reservations are preferred for these visits, but dropins are also welcome.

The preschool offers education in the 156-year-old tradition of the Sisters of Notre Dame. Special features of the program include structured and unstructured learning experiences, intergen-erational activities and strong parental involvement. Although the philosophy and programs of the preschool are distinctly Catholic in nature, children of all faith backgrounds are welcome to attend.
