Police Department to present parenting classes

The Thousand Oaks Police Department will present Parent Project classes to help parents when traditional parenting skills don't work.

The program is for 10 weeks and will teach proven strategies

for parents dealing with their child/teen's behavior problems, failing grades, substance abuse, gang involvement and/or school performance.

The program is scheduled from Wed., Sept. 13 through Nov. 15. The first six classes are from 7 to 10 p.m., with the last four sessions ending at 9 p.m.

The only cost is the parent workbook. Class space is limited, so register now.
