Learn to communicate with your pets

Elizabeth O'FallonWhittington, an animal whisperer, will conduct a workshop on communication for animal owners from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wed., Aug. 23 and from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sat., Aug. 26 at Horse-N-Around Gallery, 53 Moody Court, Thousand Oaks.

"I will teach you how to connect with your animal on a level

that will help you to understand what it is feeling. This can help in many areas of your relationship with your animal," said O'Fallon-Whittington.

"This will be an experiential workshop that will help you as much as your animal. The key is to listen and to open your heart and mind to receive the pictures, thoughts, emotions, smells and physical feelings your animal friend sends."

Cost is $25, which will be donated to the nonprofit organization St. Francis Rangers and 15 Hands Rescue Sanctuary in Hidden Valley, a part of the Hogan Family Foundation.
