Church to host family event

Living Oaks Community Church in Newbury Park will sponsor a family-oriented event with food and entertainment from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Fri., Aug. 25.

Tickets are $6 and available during business hours Tuesday through Friday at the church office, 1100 Business Center Circle, Ste. B, Newbury Park or on Sunday mornings at the Worship Center, 1033 Business Center Circle, Newbury Park.

Each ticket includes dinner (the In-N-Out burger truck will be on site), dessert, bounce houses

and games, as well as eligibility for door prizes. Among the anticipated prizes are tickets to a Dodgers game, Magic Mountain, Skating Plus; In-N-Out gift certificates; and an ipod.

Danny Ray will present an interactive magical experience. He is noted for his improvisational style. According to a church spokesman, "Ray's show does not stop with entertainment but challenges people to live their lives fully for God. By using his talent to glorify God, his hope is that others will find a way to honor God through the gifts that God has given them."
