Astronomers teach use of telescopes

Members of the Ventura County Astronomical Society will conduct a new telescope users' clinic at 8 p.m. Fri., Aug. 18 at the Charles Temple Observatory at Moorpark College. Members of the public who have questions about how to use a telescope are invited to attend at no charge.

The following club members will be available to answer questions on special topics: Dave Holland, general questions and astrophotography; Mike Chibnik, video astrophotography; and Chet Bart, telescope and observing tips. Other members will

have their scopes set

up for viewing,

weather permitting.
