Health Fair for veterans comes to Oxnard

The 2006 Veterans Health and Resource Fair is coming 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sat., Aug. 12 at the Ventura Adult Day Care parking lot, 1700 N. Lombard St., Oxnard. Representatives from healthcare organizations throughout the country, as well as county state and federal agencies, will be present.

Veterans can learn about healthcare, benefits and services, and receive free health screenings.

The listed participants include the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs-Ventura Vet Center, California Department of Veterans Affairs, Employment Development Department, Greater Los Angeles Health Care System, St. John's Regional Medical Center, ProCare Hospice and Cypress Place Senior Living.
