Organ transplants discussed

The Transplant Recipients International Organization will host guest speaker Curtis D. Holt, PharmD, at its meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. Fri., July 21 in the Conejo Room at Baxter Health Care Co., 1 Baxter Way, Westlake Village.

Holt is the transplant pharmacist, director of clinical research and associate clinical professor at the Dumont-UCLA Transplant Program.

He is a renowned expert in the field of transplant recipient's immunosuppressant medications and involved in research projects of new and improved medications for the transplant recipient.

At the meeting, Holt will answer questions regarding transplant medications and medication interactions.

The event is sponsored by the TRIO Ventura County, West San Fernando Valley Chapter.
