New director joins board of hospice Loving Hearts Hospice Foundation of Ventura County has announced the addition of Sharon Titcomb to the foundation's board of directors. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of the needs of the senior community to the foundation. Titcomb is the owner-administrator of Cottages of the Oaks, residential care facilities for the elderly located in Thousand Oaks and Agoura Hills. A graduate of the University of Hawaii with degrees in marketing and design, she became a registered nurse in 1978. Her career in nursing led her to a unique understanding of the changing needs of seniors in the community. In 1996 Titcomb began building five facilities designed for senior care which today provide quality care for many members of the senior population. As a medical professional, she has brought her years of experience to the management of seniors' health care needs. "We are thrilled to have Sharon join our board of directors," said Mary Leste, who cofounded the foundation with her partner, Shelley Chilton. "She brings so much experience and knowledge with her." Loving Hearts Hospice Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial support to low-income hospice patients and their families in Ventura County. It also promotes education in the community on hospice care as a benefit to the terminally ill and bereavement counseling to families. Supported by many local foundations, individuals and corporations, the foundation's pri mary source of sponsorship comes from the TLC Home Hospice in Moorpark.
