Astronomical Society to meet next Friday in Somis

Wally Pacholka will speak on "Images of Our Night Skies over National Parks" at the next meeting of the Ventura County Astronomical Society at 7:30 p.m. Fri., July 21 in the multipurpose room at Mesa Union School, 3901 N. Mesa School Road, Somis.

The public is invited and there is no cost to attend.

Pacholka's photographic images of the night sky have been featured in such publications and entities as Time, Life, Newsweek, National Geographic, Encyclopaedia Britannica, MSNBC and NASA. He is a three-time winner of the Time-Life Picture of the Year award.
