Slowdown continues in home sales

The total number of Conejo Valley single-family homes sold in May was 132, industry officials report. This compares to 126 sold in April and 222 a year ago, according to Glen Scalise, president of the Conejo Valley Association of Realtors.

Median sales price for singlefamily homes in May 2006 was $838,889; in 2005 it was $798,507. The median price is the point at which half the units sold for more and half for less.

Condominium sales totaled 61 in May compared to 81 in April and 77 for May 2005.

Total sales for all real estate transactions in May were $169.8 million. For May last year, the total was $264.9 million.
