Chamber to offer program on leadership development

The Thousand Oaks-Westlake Village Community Foundation has announced that recruitment has begun to attend the premier nine-month Leadership Conejo program.

This program has been created to identify and promote skills as a current or future leader, enhance the participant's knowledge of the Conejo Valley and expand involvement in community affairs.

The program begins Fri., Sept. 15 and concludes in May 2007.Classes are on the second Friday of each month from 7:45 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Class sessions include:local, state and federal government; law enforcement; fire protection; parks and recreation; education and media; health and human services and ethics.

The cost to attend is $750, which includes all supplies and meals.
