NEW TO THE FORCE-Ventura County Sheriff's Dep. Damian Alvarez shows Fibi, a 3-year-old German shepherd, to Tymmy Kane, 11, of Newbury Park. Fibi was recently acquired by the K9 unit. The three were attending a fundraiser for the K9 unit at the Janss Car Wash, organized by Vicki Shepherd and a group of Newbury Park women. K9 units are supported by donations and fundraising events.
