Hunt treasures at church

Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church will offer a weeklong summer program for children ages three and up. The program's theme, "Treasure Cove," will have children searching for clues to secret treasure, as well as riches of the spirit.

The program is offered from 9 a.m. to noon, Aug. 14 to 18, at a cost of $25 per child, with discounts given for additional siblings.

Vacation Bible School will meet in the classrooms and on the playgrounds of the Honey Tree Early Childhood Center, a nonprofit preschool sponsored by an outreach program of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.

"Each day, kids will go on a treasure hunt, digging into Scripture, which will reveal the greatest treasure of all: Jesus Christ," said Colleen Hill, director of the program. "Each year, Holy Trinity's Vacation Bible School has been a fun experience learning about prayer, the Bible, and new songs."

Registration may be made at the Holy Trinity Church office.

The church is at 1 W. Avenida de los Arboles, Thousand Oaks.

For information, call the church office at (805) 492-1234 or visit www.htlcto.org.
