Foundation opens award nominations

The deadline for CLvFFie award nominations is June 30. That's when all nomination forms for the Sixth Annual Conejo/Las Virgenes Future Foundation CLvFFie (pronounced "Cliffie") awards must be received.

The award recognizes individuals and organizations that either reside or work in the Conejo and Las Virgenes areas. There are several categories, from the arts, business and education to community service, healthcare, public safety and youth sports.

CLvFFie award winners will be honored on Sun., Nov. 5 at the Janet and Ray Scherr Forum Theater at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.

Chairpersons Jeff Blum and Audrey Brown announced that the foundation is still seeking nominations.

"If you know of an individual or organization that has made a positive impact on the community through extraordinary service, volunteerism, monetary do

nations and/or significant achievements, please take a few minutes to complete the nomination form on the CLVFF website," Blum and Brown said in a letter to community members.

The website, www.clvff.org, features a link to the CLvFFie awards and the nomination application. A complete description of the categories is available on the site.

The nominations will be reviewed by a committee of community leaders and trustees of the Future Foundation. Finalists will be notified in September and will be the guests of CLVFF at a cocktail reception prior to the awards ceremony on Nov. 5.

The recipient of the CLvFFie in each category will be announced at a ceremony immediately following the reception, Future Foundation officials said.
