Local educator's career to be celebrated

Local educator Mike Berger is retiring after 37 years in education.

The public is invited to a celebration of his career at 3:30 p.m. Fri., June 1 in the auditorium at Conejo Valley Adult Education, 1025 Old Farm Road, Thousand Oaks.

Berger is currently the principal at Conejo Valley Adult Education, but has served in numerous roles, including principal of Sequoia Middle School.

He was voted Volunteer of the Year in 2005 for his work in community organizations.
