T.O. man arrested in sexual assault

Following an investigation, a Thousand Oaks man, Juan Santos Barrera, 40, was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault around 1 p.m. May 8 near his home in the 400 block of Citation Way.

Authorities allege that Barrera had been molesting a 17-year-old male after befriending the homeless undocumented alien last Sep

tember. The boy allegedly moved into Barrera's home and on several occasions was reportedly provided drugs, lost consciousness and was sexually violated.

Barrera was booked on charges of oral copulation of a minor, assault with a deadly weapon, stalking, sodomy and rape by use of drugs. Bail was set at $500,000.
