Salon offers new hair process

Salon owner Tony Ina of Tony Hairtron Haircutting and Design in Newbury Park has developed an innovative technology for tresses that is a natural alternative to the harsh chemicals used in permanent waves. His new hair texturizing product is called Re4mer.

"When people become 30something their hair usually begins to get gray and lose body," said Ina, an award-winning stylist who distributes his treatment system to salons nationwide.

"Coloring and perming hair at the same time damages it. I wanted an option for clients who color their hair or who didn't want to live with the unknown results that can happen with a perm."

The texture system is based on an ammonia-free gel solution that adds controlled volume, lift or waves to hair and can be repeated every 12 weeks.

A former salon educator of Paul Mitchell, Matrix and Abba products, Ina is now teaching other stylists about using his own product. Tony Hairtron serves as a classroom for educating salon professionals about the many style options Re4mer can produce.

Discovering the Conejo Valley when he was conducting salon education classes in the area three years ago, Ina decided that Newbury Park was an ideal location to open up a contemporary salon and his Re4mer training center. He sold his East Eoast salon chain that was listed in Mademoiselle's "Guide to Good Hair Places" and opened up his West Coast haircutting and spa establishment last year.

It's at 579 Ventu Park Road in Newbury Park. Call (805) 4999129 for more information.
