Parks' supporter a typical NIMBY

Regarding Dr. Langer's response in the March 13 Thousand Oaks Acorn to the letter written by Joe Gibson, what Dr. Langer doesn't understand is that he sounds exactly like Mr. Gibson, only spewing his personal bias for Linda Parks.

I remember seeing the good doctor at the city council meetings and he always took Linda Parks' side on everything, which is all right, but then to get all over someone for stating their opinion is rather silly.

I wouldn't know Mr. Gibson if he sat next to me, so I am not for or against him. You can't pin the advocate label on me.

When the owners purchased their homes in Lang Ranch, they knew they would have a park built in the future.

Now they're upset with it being built. That sounds like the exact view Mrs. Parks would take. Am I wrong?

I have dealt with others just like the good Langer and Parks when we lived in Agoura Hills and all they said was Not In My Back Yard or NIMBY.

The good doctor has his and nobody else will have theirs.

You want to go to a park and play ball, go somewhere else-- NIMBY. Ken Ramsey Thousand Oaks
