Meeting set on Two Winds Ranch Thousand Oaks City Council has authorized solicitation of proposals to operate and manage the existing equestrian center, known as "Two Winds Ranch," as a permanent public equestrian center. The city is interested in entering into a long-term agreement with an operator to provide equestrian programs and services to the public. Several proposals and qualifications for lease and management services were submitted and city staff has narrowed the proposals to two. Each offers unique and specialized equestrian services and programs. At this time, the city is interested in obtaining additional public input on the services to be offered at this facility. A community meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thurs., April 27 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, Fred Kavil Theatre for the Performing Arts Founders Room, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks. The public is invited to attend this meeting. Staff will provide an overview and answer questions. The input from this event will be incorporated in the final recommendation to the council. For more information, call Elizabeth Perez, construction project coordinator at (805) 4492225. |
