Golf tourney will benefit Special Olympi

The public is invited to sign up for the Phillips & King International annual Charity Golf Tournament 2006 scheduled for Thurs., May 4 at the Lost Canyons Golf Course, 3301 Lost Canyons Drive, Simi Valley.

A shotgun start will begin the tourney at 10 a.m.

All proceeds from the event will support Special Olympics of Southern California/Ventura County.

Prices will be awarded for hole-in-one, longest drive, closest-to-pin and putting contest.

The raffle and live auctions will include a new BMW or Harley-Davidson, airline tickets, a Caribbean cruise and more.

The $225 entry fee includes lunch, full-course dinner, gift bag and cigars.

Participants may play golf only for $149 or pay $100 for meals only.

Those who don't want to play golf are encouraged to make a donation only.
