Items sought for Wellness auction

The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura will celebrate 15 years of providing support, education and hope to people fighting cancer at the 15th anniversary gala fundraiser on June 9 at Sherwood Country Club in Westlake Village.

The Wellness Community is requesting silent and live auction items for the gala. Proceeds will benefit the organization's free programs.

The gala will culminate a week of festivities celebrating the organization's 15th anniversary.

The week will begin with the annual National Cancer Survivors' Day Picnic on June 3 and will continue with educational programs throughout the week to help people affected by cancer learn skills that will enable them to regain control, reduce isolation and restore hope regardless of the stage of their disease.

"We hope the community will join us in our celebration by donating auction items so that we can continue to provide hope to area residents," said Suzanne Drace, organization president.
