Temple to host Passover events

Temple Adat Elohim, the Reform temple of the Conejo Valley, has a full slate of Passover activities scheduled this month. The temple is at 2420 E. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks. For general information, call (805) 497-7101.

From noon to 2 p.m. Sun., April 9 the temple's Sisterhood will host a program explaining why certain foods are "off limits" and others are "permissible" during the Passover season.

Attendees should bring a dairy or vegetarian lunch; drinks and dessert will be provided. RSVP to Shoshana at (805) 4024884.

A community Seder open to the public is at 6 p.m. Thurs., April 13 officiated by Rabbi Ted Riter and features a catered traditional kosher-style Seder dinner. Call Rita Steinberg for information at (805) 375-1164.

At 6:15 p.m. Tues., April 18 Temple Adat Elohim women and guests are invited to the Sisterhood Women's annual Seder. Cost ranges from $18 to $25. For details call Char Lewin at (818) 706-2213.
