Cal Lutheran University will salute Mozart

In honor of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s 250th birthday, the California Lutheran University Music and Theatre Arts Departments will present “Mozart in Love,” a collection of operatic scenes. Performances are 8 p.m. Thurs. to Sat., March 2 to 4, in CLU’s Preus-Brandt Forum, on the campus at 60 W. Olsen Road, T.O.

Under the direction of Angela Price, scenes from some of Mozart’s most famed operas will be performed, including “Cosi Fan Tutte,” “The Marriage of Figaro,” “The Magic Flute” and “Don Giovani.”

“The program is going to take a fresh, fun and exciting approach to some well known and loved music. Mozart’s music transcends all generations because the themes he uses relate to experiences we all have,” said Price, a vocal instructor at CLU.
