Breakfast speaker to discuss ‘Blended Learning’
Human resource specialists to hear about the strengths and weaknesses of conventional classrooms with online learning

The Ventura County Chapter of the National Human Resources Association (NHRA) will host a breakfast meeting from 7 to 9 a.m. Wed., Feb. 22 at Los Robles Greens Banquet Center, 299 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks.

Reservations are required by Mon., Feb. 20; call Arden at (805) 446-1860. Tickets range from $20 to $37. Walk-in guests pay an additional $5 fee.

Molly Rosen will present a program on “Blended Learning: What’s Working, What’s Not.” Blended learning is described as online learning combined with classroom application, with a goal of bringing down training costs while increasing learner effectiveness. Rosen will discuss the pitfalls and successes of blended learning.

Rosen earned her bachelor’s at UC Berkeley and her MBA at the Anderson School at UCLA. She works with Fortune 500 clients on the West Coast for Ninth House, a leader in blended learning solutions in leadership development.
